When True Blue Honky Tonk hero Ellis Bullard needed a stout and sturdy 50-Watt amp to tour the USA, he again approached Texas Tone Amps to come up with just the right tool for the job. His requirements were two 12" speakers, 50 or more Watts, plenty of clean headroom, Reverb, and our Hypnotic Slam Effect tremolo. Working hand in hand with Ellis, we took an existing Texas Tone Amp - The XTM45 - and adapted it to Ellis' needs. Whereas the XTM45 is oriented more towards SRV-style blues, we made some changes to make sure that Ellis can twang out his country-style licks with plenty of clean headroom and power.

Speaking of power, the 50 Watt rating is conservative - it's closer to 60W. The reverb has been tamed a bit compared to Fender® surf reverb, and we scrapped the Fender photocell tremolo in favor of our own Hypnotic Slam Effect that Ellis loves so much on his EB-22.

Striking in tone and power, and beautiful in blonde Tolex, striped grill cloth, and the distinctive Texas Tone® badge, Ellis calls this amp "Better than the rest." In all honesty, we agree. Are you kidding me? The EB50 is a freaking awesome amp! Everyone that hears it agrees.

The EB50 is a strong and stout and powerful combo amp with two 12" speakers with foot-switchable reverb and tremolo. As usual, the noise floor of the EB50 is quite low, designed for, and resulting in, reduced hum and hiss.
